    Expert Tips

    • If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a zip top bag with the corner cut off. It's not as pretty, but it will work in a pinch!
    • For extra flavor, try adding some smoked paprika to the topping.
    • If you want a little bit of spice, add some cayenne pepper to the mixture.

    Variations

    • Add bacon - because everything is better with bacon!
    • Try using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a healthier option.
    • Add some chopped dill or parsley to the mixture.
    • Stir in some shredded cheese for a cheesy twist.
    • For a Southwest flavor, mix in some diced avocado or green chiles.
    • Use wasabi paste instead of mustard for a spicy kick.
    • Add crab meat or shrimp for a seafood twist.

    Storing & Freezing

Storing: These eggs are best served fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Freezing: If you want to freeze them, the egg whites will freeze just fine. However, the yolk mixture does not freeze well, so it's best to make that part fresh when you're ready to eat.

    Recipe FAQ's

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes! You can prepare the recipe and then store the eggs in the fridge until you're ready to finish and serve.

What can I use instead of Panko?

If you don't have Panko, you can use regular bread crumbs or even crushed up cereal.

Can I make these without flour?

Yes! If you're looking for a gluten-free option, you can omit the flour and just use the egg and gluten-free Panko.
