    Expert Tips

    • Adjust the consistency. If you find that your mashed cauliflower is too thick, you can add a splash of heavy cream or almond milk to thin it out to your desired consistency.
    • Experiment with seasonings. While this recipe calls for garlic powder and salt, you can experiment with other seasonings to create different flavor profiles. For example, you could add some chopped fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary, or some hot sauce or chili flakes for a spicy kick.
    • Add cheese at the end. It's best to add the shredded Asiago cheese at the end of the recipe, once the cauliflower has been mashed and all the other ingredients have been added. This will ensure that the cheese doesn't melt too much and become stringy or clumpy.
    • Use a food processor. If you have a food processor, you can use it to make the mashed cauliflower even smoother and creamier. Pulse the cauliflower until it reaches your desired consistency, and then add the other ingredients and pulse again until everything is well combined.

    Variations

    • Add different cheeses: Instead of using Asiago cheese, you can try using other types of cheese like cheddar, parmesan, or gouda. Different cheeses will add different flavors and textures to the dish.
    • Add roasted garlic: If you love garlic, you can roast a few garlic cloves in the oven until they're soft and fragrant, and then mash them into the cauliflower mixture. This will add a delicious roasted garlic flavor to the dish.
    • Add herbs: You can add different herbs like thyme, rosemary, or parsley to the dish to add some extra flavor and freshness.
    • Add bacon bits: For a salty and savory twist, you can add some bacon bits to the cauliflower mash.

    Storing & Freezing

Storing: Store leftover keto mashed cauliflower in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. To reheat, microwave or heat on the stovetop until warmed through.

Freezing: To freeze mashed cauliflower, let it cool completely and then transfer it to a freezer-safe container. Freeze for up to 2-3 months. To reheat, thaw the mashed cauliflower in the refrigerator overnight and then microwave or heat on the stovetop until warmed through.
