    What Is A Snickerdoodle?

Snickerdoodle is a type of cookie rolled in a cinnamon sugar coating.

    What Is A Snickerdoodle Latte?

A snickerdoodle latte is a coffee drink that combines the flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar with milk.

    Ingredients You Need

Labeled ingredients to make the snickerdoodle latte.
    • Skim milk: Makes a creamy latte. You can also use whole milk or a non-dairy milk alternative like almond milk.
    • Ground cinnamon: Cinnamon is what creates the snickerdoodle flavor.
    • Ground nutmeg: A warming flavor that pairs well with cinnamon.
    • Brown sugar substitute: Perfect for a bit of sweetness with less sugar. If you prefer unsweetened coffee, you can skip the sugar. You can also use a little bit of coconut sugar.
    • Coffee: A strong black coffee or espresso is perfect.

How To Make Snickerdoodle Latte From Scratch

Step 1. Heat spiced milk: In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium-high heat. Stir in the ground cinnamon and nutmeg until well combined.

Step 2. Sweeten coffee: In your hot coffee, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of your chosen natural sweetener until dissolved.

Step 3. Froth the spiced milk: Using a whisk or handheld frother, froth the spiced almond milk until it develops foam.

Step 4. Combine and garnish: Pour the sweetened coffee into a mug. Gently pour the frothed spiced almond milk over the coffee, allowing the foam to form on top.

    Tips

    • Brew a strong cup of coffee for the best flavor. You can use a French press or espresso machine to make the coffee.
    • If you don't have a shaker, a mason jar with a lid works perfectly too! You can also take a whisk and vigorously whisk back and forth for 15-30 seconds until the milk is frothy. A milk frother will also work.
    • For iced, follow the recipe, but let the spiced milk cool down before pouring it over ice and cold brew coffee.

Frequently Asked Questions About Snickerdoodle Latte

Can I make this latte blended?

Yes! Chill the coffee and milk and add it to a blender with some ice. Top with whipped cream.

How do I store leftover snickerdoodle latte?

This latte is best served warm and fresh. You can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 days max, but you will lose the foam on top as it sits in the fridge. Freezing is not recommended.
