- Boiling water
- Whole wheat flour
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Brown sugar
- Unsweetened applesauce
- Large egg
- Buttermilk

How To Make Healthy Honey Bran Muffins
1 – Preheat oven to 375°. Spray muffin tins with nonstick cooking spray.
2 – Combine the cereal and boiling water in a large bowl and mix well. Let stand until cool.

3 – Mix the whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together.

4 – Beat the brown sugar, applesauce and egg in a mixing bowl until creamy.

5 – Add the dry ingredients, cereal mixture and buttermilk and mix well.

6 – Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full.
7 – Drizzle each muffin with 1/2 teaspoon of honey.

8 – Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean from the center of a muffin.
