Healthier Banana Cream Pie Low-Calorie

Healthier Banana Cream Pie makes a quick breakfast, snack, or dessert alternative. It’s sure to satisfy that sweet tooth.

 

Happy National Banana Cream Pie Day! I whipped up this 4 ingredient healthier version of a banana cream pie. It’s so simple and very delicious. All that is needed is a 5.3-ounce container of Dannon Light and Fit Greek yogurt for only 80 calories. I recommend the banana flavor, but if your store doesn’t carry it, the Toasted Coconut Vanilla flavor tastes great too.

 

Then grab a banana, and a container of lite whipped topping in the freezer section. Fat free whipped topping works too, since fat free and lite contain the same number of calories. I also used butter cookies (I used Pepperidge Farm Chessman butter cookies for 40 calories per cookies). They taste great and give the “pie” the crunch of a crust.

Throw it all in a bowl and enjoy, or layer it parfait style like I did. There is no baking required and it comes together in minutes! I love recipes that don’t require a lot of effort like this healthier banana cream pie, and it can be made on a whim.

Ingredients

  • 5.3 oz Dannon Light and Fit 80-calorie yogurt
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 2 tbsp lite whipped topping
  • 1 butter cookie, like Chessmen Pepperidge Farm, crushed

Instructions

  • Put half container of yogurt into small glass mason jar.
  • Layer with half of sliced bananas.
  • Add remainder of yogurt. Then top with remainder of sliced bananas, lite whipped topping and butter cookies. Enjoy!
