Green Tea Strawberry Lemonade

Green tea strawberry lemonade is a delicious and refreshing drink! Made with freshly brewed tea, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup! Green tea and strawberries add a delicious flavor to this drink you’ll want to sip on all day.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 5 cups water
  • 4 green tea bags
  • ½ cup monk fruit sweetener
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • 1 ½ cups fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat, steep tea bags for 10 minutes. Then place the tea in the refrigerator to cool.
  • Mix the monk fruit sweetener with ¼ cup of boiling water to create a simple syrup. 
  • In a blender, blend together the lemon juice, simple syrup and strawberries until puréed.
  • Using a mesh strainer, strain mixture and discard seeds.
  • Add the strawberry mixture and the tea to a pitcher and stir to combine.
  • Serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh strawberries.

Notes

  • The quality of green tea bags you use can greatly impact the flavor of the green tea lemonade. Choose a high-quality brand of green tea bags for best results.
  • Over-steeping or under-steeping the tea bags can result in a bitter or weak-tasting tea. Follow the recommended steeping time to get the best flavor.
  • Fresh-squeezed lemon juice will give your green tea lemonade a bright and tangy flavor. Avoid using bottled lemon juice, which can taste artificial.
  • Pureeing the strawberries well will give the lemonade a smooth and creamy texture.
    Make sure to remove the stems and hulls from the strawberries before blending.
  • Adding fresh mint leaves as a garnish can enhance the flavor and aroma of the green tea lemonade.
  • Storing: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
    Freezing: You can even freeze the lemonade by pouring it into the ice cubes. Once set, transfer the cubes into a ziplock bag and freeze them.
