Dehydrated Apricots

Most people know that apricots are a delicious, healthy snack. But what they may not know is that dehydrated apricots are even better for you! Apricots are a good source of dietary fiber, potassium, and vitamin A. They also contain antioxidants, which help protect your body against disease.

Dried apricots are especially nutritious because the water has been removed, making them more concentrated. This means that you can get more nutrients per bite! So, if you’re looking for a healthy snack that will keep you satisfied for hours, reach for a bag of dried apricots.

How To Make Dehydrated Apricots

Step 1: Half and pit each apricot. Place halves in a large bowl with the water and lemon juice. Let them soak for 10 minutes.

Step 2: Drain and lay flat to pat dry. Press down the halves until they are flat.

Step 3: Arrange in dehydrator trays accordingly. Dehydrate at 135°F for 24 hours.

If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can try oven drying the apricots. Preheat your oven to the lowest temperature (usually around 200° F) and place the apricots on a baking sheet. Bake for 3-4 hours or until they are dry and leathery.
